The domain
The clay-limestone soils make an essential contribution to the quality of the grapes harvested, in the same way as the low yield cultivation method and the conventional grape varieties used. Our wines have been certified ORGANIC since 2023.
Mainly harvested by hand, vinified traditionally, privileging Grenache, Ségriès wines have body, warmth, roundness.
We also have on the estate 250 olive trees, which allow us to harvest from 400 to 600 liters of oil, depending on the year, of Extra Virgin Quality First cold pressed.
Small production for AOP Lirac Blanc. We have preserved the old grape varieties of the appellation such as Ugni and Picpoul to combine them with Clairette and Roussanne, which we pick at the end of the harvest, an atypical wine aged lightly in oak barrels, aromatic and representative of the estate. It also has its special woody vintage, Secret de la Grange, produced since 2018. Like the red vintage, it is limited, numbered and not available each year (500 boxes/year).

THE CASTLE
The 17th century Château de Ségriès is one of the oldest estates on the LIRAC appellation. It is located in full nature, in the heart of the vineyard, surrounded by numerous sources (In Provençal "Ségriès" means "sources"), sheltered from plane trees of more than 300 years.
We will be very happy to welcome you for a visit of the winery and for a tasting in one of the vaulted rooms of the Castle.
We sell our wines directly at the property, on trade shows, by expedition or via our e-shop. They are distributed also in many countries, among others the USA, Norway, Japan, Australia, Denmark, Belgium ....
THE VINEYARD
AOP Lirac Rouge occupies most of the area, 36 hectares (30 hectares are in one piece near the cellar). LIRAC red wines have aromas of red fruits, spice and pepper, they are very concentrated with silky tannins. Several vintages are available for tasting. In 2013 a special cuvée was developed "Secret de la Grange", from selected plots named la GRANGE on the estate. This limited and numbered vintage (about 1000 bottles / year) is a treat for the taste buds. (not available each year)

The vineyard in AOP Tavel covers 11 hectares. The lands are around the TAVEL village. With its varied terroir (Lauzes, pebbles rolled, silica ...), its very particular sustained color and its aromatic concentration make it a unique wine, a perfect aperitif and meal wine, which can accompany many dishes.
Finally, the section dedicated to the Côtes du Rhône Red wine "Clos Jean Alesi" covers 3.9 hectares in the famous "Chartreuse district" in Villeneuve-les-Avignon. The vineyard has been owned since 1995 by former F1 driver Jean ALESI. This round and balanced vintage is aged in high quality French oak barrels.
